How far has RoHS come?

The world didn't change fundamentally on July 1, 2006 when the EU RoHS directive took effect. Having a huge effect on the electronics industry, the EU RoHS directive is being regulated by an increasing number of EU RoHS enforcement bodies. This article further discusses RoHS directive exemptions, scope and possible changes in the future.
