What is a wireless home digital interface (WHDI)?
The Wireless Home Digital Interface (WHDI) is a consumer electronic industry initiative to set a standard specification for wireless high-definition connectivity within and throughout the home. WHDI aims for wireless uncompressed HD video delivery throughout the home, allowing connection of any source in the home to any display device.
The promoters of WHDI include AMIMON, Hitachi Ltd, LG Electronics, Motorola, Samsung Group, Sharp Corp. and Sony.
