What is a wireless home digital interface (WHDI)?
|
The Wireless Home Digital Interface (WHDI) is a consumer electronic industry initiative to set a standard specification for wireless high-definition connectivity within and throughout the home. WHDI aims for wireless uncompressed HD video delivery throughout the home, allowing connection of any source in the home to any display device. The promoters of WHDI include AMIMON, Hitachi Ltd, LG Electronics, Motorola, Samsung Group, Sharp Corp. and Sony. |

| 2008-08-18 | Is DSP functionality still hot? It's tough to find an embedded system that doesn't do some type of digital signal processing, and it's quite difficult to look for an embedded processor that doesn't have DSP-oriented architectural features. Because of these, all processors have to be DSP-related. We're seeing the DSP splinter into many sub-industries, each with diverse requirements for both hardware and software. |
