NTC chip thermistors support up to 150°C
Ametherm has unveiled four series of NTC chip thermistors aimed at high-accuracy temperature measurement. Recently acquired from RTI Electronics Inc., the STC0134-X, STC0138-X, STC0143 and STC0144-X series devices come in various compact sizes, while offering fast response times and high-temperature operation to 150°C, detailed the company.
The NTC chip thermistors claim to deliver highly repeatable performance for temperature monitoring and compensation in hybrid circuits for ICs in robotic assemblies and military telecom systems. For increased reliability, the devices' electrode surface is available in gold to prevent oxidation.
Providing a high-stability replacement for leaded small-disc thermistors, STC0134-X, STC0138-X, STC0143 and STC0144-X series devices experience minimal drift from their initial electrical values. Available in sizes as small as 0.50 x 0.50 x 0.43mm, the components feature resistance at 25°C from 100Ω to 5kΩ, tolerance down to ±5 per cent, and beta from 3,000-3,523K. The thermistors are suitable for solder reflow assembly or gluing with epoxy, noted Ametherm.
Offered through Dexter Magnetic Technologies and Sager Electronics, samples and production quantities of the NTC chip thermistors are available with lead times of six to eight weeks.
