Voltage reference features tight tolerances at ±2%

Diodes Inc. has unveiled a 3.3V shunt voltage reference, with tight tolerances at ±2% and sharp knee characteristics. It consumes only 1μA when the reference voltage can no longer be maintained.

The ZXRE330 has temperature coefficient as low as 20ppm/°C, providing stable performance across an industrial operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. Its low power performance is a result of its very low knee current, 1µA typical, maintaining performance over the device's full operating current range of 2µA to 5mA.

The reference has also been designed to be highly tolerant of capacitive loads and requires no output capacitor. In addition, its low output noise performance of 55µVRMS ensures a clean output from 10Hz to 10kHz.

It is available in small outline SOT23 and TO92 packages. It can serve as a pin-for-pin compatible alternative to industry-standard shunt voltage reference.
