ASMT-Jx3x LED

The latest 3W high-brightness LEDs from Avago Technologies can be driven up to 700mA, thus providing high flux output performance for solid-state lighting applications. The ASMT-Jx3x also provides a wide viewing angle of 165°, has moisture sensitivity level-one capability and is very reliable. Measuring 5mm x 4mm x 1.85mm in an SOP, they are suitable for space-constrained lighting applications such as in portable devices. Other applications include street lighting, architectural facades, retail displays, backlighting.

Delivering a high flux output of up to 160lm at 700mA, this LED features a maximum allowable junction temperature of 135°C and high ESD resistance of 16kV which makes this LED insensitive to ESD. As a result, special ESD protection equipment is not required to handle the part during installation. Moreover, this 3W LED is compatible with standard SMT reflow soldering processes and helps lower design cost while providing lighting designers with more freedom and flexibility in designing their applications.

It is available in red, red orange, amber, green, blue, royal blue, cool white, neutral white and warm white colors. It features silicone encapsulation and an electrically isolated heat sink. It has long operating life and low thermal resistance. It is Pb-free and RoHS compliant as well as energy efficient.

Samples and production quantities of ASMT-Jx3x LEDs are available now through Avago's direct sales channel and worldwide distribution partners.
