Acces I/O Products recently announced the latest addition to its line of USB/104 I/O modules—model USB-IDIO-16.

The unit features 16 individually optically isolated inputs and 16 fully protected solid-state FET outputs capable of switching up to 2A each. The USB-IDIO-16 is fully compatible with both USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 ports and offers hotplug functionality for quick connect/disconnect. The circuit isolation makes the module ideal for control and instrumentation applications where high-voltage protection is required. Individual channel-to-channel isolation allows every channel to be physically and electrically separated from the others.

Key features of the USB-IDIO-16 include 16 individually optically isolated inputs (channel-to-channel and channel-to-ground); polarity insensitive AC/DC inputs accept up to 31 VDC or AC RMS; jumper selectable filtering per input channel for AC or voltage transients; 16 optically isolated fully protected FET high-side switch outputs; outputs capable of switching from 5-34 VDC at up to 2A; and internal, removable screw terminal board for easy wiring.

An eight I/O version is available dubbed as the USB-IDIO-8.
