SMIC, Elpida forge foundry partnership

Semiconductor Mfg Int. Corp. and Elpida Memory Inc. have entered a five-year arrangement in which Elpida has appointed SMIC as a foundry partner to produce its 0.135m stacked-capacitor DRAM.
