When developing an embedded modem product it is helpful if the device can output test signals. This note describes how to generate the test carriers that are most often needed. Those signals are Bell 212 scrambled binary ones, V.22 scrambled binary ones, and V.22bis scrambled binary ones and scrambled binary ones.
